I just purchased an Amazon Fire HD 10 plus

I'm trying to install a couple of apps from the app store. They appear to download ok, but then I get a message RTS Pro will install on your device soon, with an OK button. I click the button and then nothing happens. I've been trying for several hours.

Hello, thank you for using Howly. I’ll be happy to help you out! May I ask your name?

Nice to meet you, *****!
Are you having issues with installing apps on your tablet?

Customer Replay

Yes. They seem to download ok, but won't install.

Got it, have you checked your internet connection?

Customer Replay

Internet is good. I've tried my wifi hotspot as well as the home wifi.

I see, does the issue happen with other devices?

Customer Replay

I have both apps already loaded on my phone.

Have you tried restarting the tablet?

Customer Replay

i'll do that now.

Customer Replay

still get the same message

Are you using Google Play to install them?

Customer Replay

yes

Have you tried logging out of your Google account and logging back in?

Customer Replay

just did and same message

If your device is low on space, it can stop apps from downloading and installing.
Your device may be low on space if:
You get a notification about storage space.
There’s less than 1 GB available on your device.
To get help with storage space on Android, go to Free up space.

Customer Replay

I just bought it today and this is the 1st thing I tried to do with it.

On your Android tablet, open your Settings app.
Tap System and then Advanced and then System update.
Your update status appears.
Follow the on-screen instructions to download or install updates.

Customer Replay

how do I do that?

Open your Settings app.
Tap System and then Advanced and then System update.
Your update status appears.
Follow the on-screen instructions to download or install updates.

Customer Replay

I went to system icon on home screen, but there isn't an Advanced button. would it be under something else?

Open the Settings menu on your Fire tablet and select Device Options. Select System Updates, then Update

Customer Replay

It's updating. in the meantime, under storage it says I have 24G free.

Got it

Customer Replay

Updating?

Customer Replay

Got it
Open the Google Play Store app Google Play.
At the top right, tap the Profile icon.
Tap Manage apps & device and then Manage.
Tap the name of the app you want to delete and then Uninstall.
To reinstall it, tap Install or Enable.
Is everything clear with the provided instruction?

Customer Replay

I went to the google play store, tapped on the profile icon. can't find anything that says manage apps. maybe I'm looking at the wrong thing.

Can you send me a screenshot?
To attach pictures to our chat, you need to press the paper clip button in the lower right corner of the chat window. Then you have either to choose an image on your device or take a photo right away. Then confirm sending.

Customer Replay

I'm chatting with you on my laptop, not the tablet

Take it on a laptop and email it to help@howly.com

Customer Replay

what exactly do you want a picture of?

The message that displays when you try to install an app?

Customer Replay

Just sent it. From *****@gmail.com

Got the email, have you tried using the Google Play app instead of browser?

Customer Replay

i can't find the app on the tablet. I tried doing a search for it

It seems that you might need to use Amazon's Appstore instead

Customer Replay

I tried that and it didn't find it

Try this:
Select Games & Apps or open the Apps or Games app.
Select an app from your Library to download it or search for a new app in the Store.

Customer Replay

just downloaded disney + and it opened, trying candy crush now

Customer Replay

it opened

Customer Replay

i tried finding the google playstore app and it doesn't show up in the amazon play store

You might have to use Amazon store instead

Customer Replay

but those apps don't show up there

It's an Amazon tablet, so unfortunately it limits your options a bit

Customer Replay

thanks. guess I'll have to take it back. does samsung have the google play store?

Yes, it does

Customer Replay

Thanks. I appreciate the help

I’m glad I was able to get that sorted out for you. Is there anything else I can assist you with today?

Customer Replay

I think that's it. Thanks.
