yes my desk top is connected. and works fine my problem is my apple ipad does not stay connected to the internet

yes but it does not stay connected and I have to wait until my son comes over and reconnects me to the internet'. my question is why does my ipad disconnect itself

Tap on your Wi-Fi network.
